What is the relationship between art and politics?
Saturday, October 31st, 2009What would you consider the relationship is between art and beauty?
Tuesday, October 27th, 2009DEE L asked:
Love is always beautiful; if it is ugly it is not love. So why is art considered beautiful even if it is down right ugly?
What do you consider art? How do you perceive beauty? I have been trying to answer these questions for months and have gotten nowhere. I would really like to have some heart felt answers please, not something copied from a website, but written from the heart and mind of the writer.

Monday, October 19th, 2009How to build an art portfolio for college early?
Saturday, October 3rd, 2009CreativeReality asked:
I’m currently in the 8th grade, and high school is coming up. I’m looking at art colleges, trying to find out which are best (I’d really like to start as a graphic designer for a good company for a short time and advance to something greater), but I’ve heard these can be very expensive. I feel that I need to start now in order to get a scholarship to even think of attending any of these schools, as I come from a middle-class family. How should I start a portfolio? What do colleges like to see?

I have to do a research assignment on art ‘movements’ in the 1990s and then focus on one significatn area, be it in fine art, design, photography, architecture, film.

I’m finding it quite a difficult decade as no ‘art movements’ particularly stands out like it would do in earlier decades.
