Will it help if I submit an art portfolio to colleges even though my major isn’t related to art?

Sally Park asked:

In other words, can it help my chances in getting accepted?
If I prepared an art portfolio, I thought it can reflect my talent/abilities.
I’m planning to apply USC perhaps.
Also, how important are the SAT I and community serviceI?

    I doubt it

I dont see why universities accepting you based on your grade average in certain subjects would really care about your pictures.

If you made one already you can try, but I would very worried about getting that portfolio back

What are you planning to major in??

SAT (or ACT) score is very important, so is your overall GPA!!

No. SAT scores, academic record, and personal statement are the three main factors for college acceptance, minus legacy and demographic data.
