What do you take to become an Art teacher?

I was kind of wondering what do you take to become an Art teacher. I love to do a lot of art stuff I have already takin some art classes in high school. I was just wondering how do you come an Art teacher. I know you have to go to some kind of college but what do art teachers take in college for that field? If some can answer this that would be wonderful.

    Start by going to your state’s department of education site. They should have a link on how to become a teacher. The state will also have a teacher certification website. Check them out also. It will tell you the schooling, testing, etc. that you will have to do. Some aren’t very clear with their info, so you may have to call and talk to someone. Another source would be to check out teacher education schools and art school. They should be able to help you. In general, you will have to get a teaching degree heavy in arts. You will then have to take a test on teaching art and apply for certification. Good luck, Rail
